HIT Srl Reinvests: Major Expansion of "Spare Parts Manager" AI
HIT Srl, a company that has defined itself for over 20 years by its deep technical expertise, today announces a landmark strategic decision that will define its next decade. We are officially committing a significant portion of our company's profits to the aggressive development and deep training of our proprietary app, the "Spare Parts Manager". This is not just a software update. This is a deliberate evolution. We are transforming our "Spare Parts Manager" from a powerful database into the industry's first true Technical Parts AI.
Our original app was a revolutionary first step, digitizing the immense technical knowledge of our engineering team. This 2026 reinvestment is about what comes next. We are not just adding features; we are feeding the AI. We are investing heavily in development and training, feeding our machine learning models with over two decades of proprietary data: every complex order, every successful cross-reference, every obsolete part we have ever sourced, and every technical solution we have ever engineered. This is where Big Data meets 20 years of real-world, hard-earned experience.
What does this new, super-charged AI mean for our partners? The possibilities are revolutionary. We are not building a simple search engine; we are building a Digital Technician.
- From Reactive to Predictive: Imagine an AI that doesn't just react to a part failure but can begin to predict it. By analysing data from a customer's fleet against our global database, the "Spare Parts Manager" AI will be the engine that finally makes true, affordable predictive maintenance a reality for operators of all sizes.
- Solving Problems, Not Just Finding Parts: The future we are building is one where a maintenance manager in the field doesn't need a part number. Instead, they can simply upload a photo of a failed component and describe the problem in natural language. The AI will not just identify the part; it will understand the context of the failure, suggest a complete solution, and instantly check global availability.
- The Ultimate Problem-Solver: This is the grand result we are investing in—an AI that learns. An AI that can instantly identify an obsolete 1990s electronic part and automatically recommend and source its modern, certified equivalent, solving a problem that even the original manufacturer can no longer support.
While other companies in our industry invest in larger sales teams, HIT Srl is doubling down on what has always made us different: pure technical intelligence. We are taking the knowledge of our best engineers and scaling it with the power of AI. This 2026 initiative is the next logical step in our promise to the market: We are not salespeople. We are problem-solvers. And we are now building the most powerful problem-solver the industry has ever seen.
HIT Srl Marks 20 Years of Technical Excellence
This year, HIT Srl proudly celebrates 20 years of continuous operation. In an industry defined by disruption, we commemorate two decades of growth, stability, and integrity under the same company name, a milestone made possible by the same consistent leadership that founded the company in 2005. We are proud to have been guided for these 20 years by the steady hand of our CEO, Engineer Paolo Soncini, and driven by the operational expertise of our Spare Parts Manager, Giulio Decavoli. In this moment, we also pause to honor the memory of our late founding commercial director, Damiano Vannini, who was with us in our formative years.
In a market dominated by massive multinational parts distributors, our strategy was never to beat them at their own game. We did not compete on sheer scale; we prevailed through strategy and superior technical competence. Our team of engineers and specialists became the partner that maintenance managers trusted to solve complex problems—a level of expertise the giants could not match.
These 20 years have been a true testament to our company's character. We have navigated a gauntlet of global and internal challenges that would have broken most: the 2008 global financial crisis, the 2019 COVID-19 pandemic, the sudden collapse of countries where our business was prospering, the tragic loss of a founding director, vexatious lawsuits from competitors and scams from rogue nations, and navigating intense and recurring customs and tax audits.
Through it all, HIT Srl remains standing. We have weathered every storm, and we are proud to state that we have done so without a single bad debt or insolvency. We are not a flashy multinational. We are a modest, specialist company with its feet firmly on the ground. We have proven that integrity, technical expertise, and fiscal discipline are the true keys to longevity. This journey was not a solo one. We extend our most profound gratitude to our incredible staff for their dedication, our suppliers for their partnership, and our customers for the two decades of trust they have placed in us. Here's to the next 20 years.
HIT Srl Expands into Agriculture, Powered by "Motor Valley" Heritage
HIT Srl, an independent specialist in technical spare parts for the heavy equipment industry, is proud to announce a major strategic expansion into the agriculture and livestock (zootechnics) equipment sector. This move is far more than a new business venture; it is a return to our deepest roots.
Our headquarters are in Reggio Emilia, the heart of a territory with a powerful dual identity. On one hand, this land is the cradle of agricultural excellence, famed for its livestock and farming traditions. On the other hand, it is the globally renowned "Motor Valley," the epicenter of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic engineering brilliance. This unique fusion—a world-class agricultural economy demanding world-class engineering—has created an unparalleled ecosystem. It has fostered the development of some of the most advanced and excellent equipment for agriculture and zootechnics in the world.
The agricultural origins of our entire territory are the very foundation of its great economic development. HIT Srl was born from this environment. Our core technical expertise in complex hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical components is the same expertise that built this "Motor Valley". We are now officially applying this deep engineering-first competency to the sector that started it all.
As always, our approach is not that of a simple salesperson. We are a technical partner. The modern farmer and livestock operator is a high-tech manager whose equipment is as complex as any port crane. They need a supplier who speaks their language. Our expansion into agriculture is a natural homecoming. We are proud to bring our global sourcing, technical problem-solving, and logistics excellence to the agricultural traditions that built our land.
Commemorating 100,000 Solutions: A 15-Year Milestone in Shipments
Today, HIT Srl is proud to pause and celebrate a monumental figure in our company's history. Between the start of 2005 and the beginning of 2020, our company has successfully dispatched over 100,000 individual spare part lines to our diverse clients across the globe. This is not a sales statistic. For us, this number represents a legacy of trust. In our industry, a spare part is never just a commodity. It is a solution. 100,000 is not a number of sales transactions; it is the number of times we have helped a client solve a problem. Each of those 100,000 shipments represents a machine down, a port operation at a standstill, or a critical maintenance deadline. Each part was a puzzle that needed to be solved, an operation restored, and a partnership strengthened.
The true significance of this 15-year achievement lies in the sheer diversity of what those 100,000 parts represent. They range from a single, complex hydraulic valve for a reachstacker in Asia, to an obsolete electronic sensor for a 30-year-old crane in Africa, to a complete remanufactured transmission for a terminal in Europe. This milestone was only possible because of our core philosophy: technicians supporting technicians.
The year 2020 will be remembered as a global test of resilience. For HIT Srl, it was a crisis that we met with a two-pronged strategy that not only allowed us to survive—it allowed us to thrive, proving our model was ready for the future. We are proud to commemorate this year by confirming we achieved zero in-company infections and zero days of operational downtime. This success was not a matter of luck; it was a matter of strategy.
We achieved this by Protecting Our People and Our Operations. We implemented smart scheduling, alternating operators and implementing split shifts to ensure our on-site team could work safely and maintain physical distancing. We deployed our ozone sanitization systems for daily, medical-grade sterilization. These systems treated our offices, warehouses, and even incoming/outgoing goods, creating a safe environment for our staff and ensuring the integrity of our products.
The second victory was due to The Agility of a Prepared Smart-Working Team. While others scrambled, we "flipped the switch" on our existing smart-working plan. A dedicated team of around ten collaborators, spread across various regions of the world, continued their group work seamlessly, coordinating complex orders and managing logistics remotely. The crisis forced the world to adapt, and we discovered we were already prepared for the new standard.
HIT Srl Celebrates 100-Country Milestone
This year, HIT Srl officially marks a landmark achievement in its history: we have now successfully exported critical spare parts and technical solutions to 100 different countries around the globe. This milestone is far more than a number on a map; it is a testament to the thousands of relationships we have built and the trust placed in us by technical partners, from massive port terminals in Asia to specialized industrial workshops in South America.
Reaching a global market of this scale is often seen as a commercial challenge, a complex puzzle of different languages, cultural norms, and time zones. For many, these are barriers. For us, this milestone proves the philosophy that has always been at our core: among technicians, there are no barriers. We have learned that the universal language of engineering is more powerful than any spoken one. A hydraulic schematic is understood in Ghana just as it is in Germany. An electronic fault code means the same thing in Brazil as it does in Singapore.
Our success in 100 countries has not been driven by a traditional sales force. It has been driven by our team of technical specialists—experts in mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics. Our customers are maintenance managers, field engineers, and port operators. They do not need a sales interface; they need a partner who understands their problem. This 100-country milestone is the ultimate validation of our model. It is proof that when a customer with a complex problem connects with a technical expert who speaks their language—the language of problem-solving—borders become irrelevant.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the maintenance teams, engineers, and technicians in all 100 countries who have placed their trust in us. You have proven our theory correct. As we look to the future, we are not just excited about the next new market. We are excited about the next complex challenge, wherever in the world it may be.

This new branch is a bold step for HIT Srl. It allows us to apply the same technical-first philosophy we've built our spare parts business on to these new, vital, and high-tech fields.
Strategic HQ Relocation to Reggio Emilia
This year, 2011, marks a pivotal milestone in the history of HIT Srl. We are proud to announce the official relocation of our headquarters from our offices in Carpi (Modena) to a new, expansive, and strategically-located facility in Reggio Emilia. This move is not just a change of address. It is a fundamental and necessary step in our company's evolution, driven by significant and sustained growth in our global turnover.
For years, HIT Srl operated a lean and flexible model, with our technical office in Carpi managing operations while our spare parts inventory was held at our courier partners' warehouses. This model served us well in our early stages, but our rapid success created a new set of challenges. The volume and complexity of our inventory simply outgrew the old system. We reached a critical point where indirect management of our stock was no longer an option.
Our new Reggio Emilia facility is the direct answer to this challenge. The primary driver for this move was the critical need to bring our logistics in-house. Our growing turnover demanded direct, real-time management of our spare parts. By uniting our expert technical office and our entire physical inventory under one roof, our team can now inspect, verify, photograph, and prepare components for shipment instantly. This proximity between our experts and our parts eliminates delays, guarantees quality control, and allows us to provide the immediate responses our global clients demand.
The location of our new headquarters was a deliberate, strategic choice. We are now located in the heart of the region's best-served industrial zone, selected for its superior logistical advantages:
- Motorway Access: We are minutes from the main A1 motorway exit, providing immediate access to Italy's primary transport artery.
- Courier Proximity: Our facility is strategically positioned near the central hubs of all major national and international couriers (like DHL, TNT, FedEx), allowing for later cut-off times and faster dispatch.
- Industrial Hub: We are at the center of a dynamic industrial zone, ensuring we are perfectly serviced and connected.
This 2011 relocation from Carpi to Reggio Emilia is more than just a new building. It represents our evolution from a flexible office into a fully-fledged, high-performance logistics and technical center. We are now perfectly positioned to manage our growth and continue providing the world-class service our partners expect.
HIT Srl Publishes Definitions to Fight Deceptive Parts Terminology
In an industry increasingly flooded with confusing terms and deceptive language, HIT Srl is taking a firm stand to protect the customer. As technical experts, we have seen far too many instances where customers are misled by imprecise "word games". Sellers of low-quality, cloned, or aftermarket parts often intentionally misuse terms like "Genuine," "Original," and "OEM" to pass their products off as something they are not. This practice is deceptive, it creates confusion, and it ultimately puts the customer's high-value equipment at risk.
We believe that trust and transparency are the only currency that matters. As engineers and technical specialists, not salespeople, our goal is to solve problems, not just take orders. This requires a common language based on facts. To combat this industry-wide problem, HIT Srl is today publishing our official definitions for all spare parts terminology, "clearing the air" once and for all. We are clarifying these terms as they are used by the professional spare parts community, so our customers know exactly what they are buying.
We use these terms in the following way (as is common within the professional spare parts community):
- GENUINE Parts: This is commonly used for parts coming from the equipment manufacturer (the brand of the truck). (Example: For a FORD car, the fuel pump will be delivered in a FORD-branded package, even if the pump was manufactured by BOSCH).
- AFTERMARKET Parts: This is used for parts cloned from the GENUINE part, or designed to be identical or compatible in some way. They are not OEM. (Example: For a FORD car, you would receive a fuel pump without any clear information about its origin or brand. It should work on the FORD car or might be adaptable, but the quality is not guaranteed). Of course, there are many types of AFTERMARKET parts—some of good quality, some of poor quality. It could be a good business decision to buy them because they are cheaper, or it could be a huge waste of money due to more frequent breakdowns or an unjustified increase in safety risks.
- OEM Parts: This is used for parts coming from the actual, original manufacturer of the component. It is totally identical to the GENUINE part (with the exception of the package). (Example: For a FORD car, you will receive the same fuel pump, but in a BOSCH package. It will be identical in quality and specification to the one delivered by FORD).
Note on ORIGINAL Parts: Following a European regulation valid for the automotive industry, the term "ORIGINAL" is commonly used for parts coming from the car/truck manufacturer OR for the identical parts produced on the same production line by the true original manufacturer (the OEM) that sells that part to the car manufacturer. We avoid using this term because it is not well understood by the international community.
Our Policy at HIT: Now that we have clarified the terms we use, we can explain our policy. We at HIT primarily offer OEM and GENUINE parts. These may be supplied in HIT packaging, or in the original OEM or GENUINE packaging. We restrict the use of aftermarket or cloned parts, limiting their use to very few cases (mainly when specifically requested by the customer and when the quality is guaranteed by our supplier). We do not manage, nor do we collaborate in any operation that involves "cloned" (counterfeit) packaging of other companies. In this way, we can be sure that we are supplying parts that are identical to the GENUINE component and are clearly identified.
