Fantuzzi RS 50 and RS 55: how much hydraulic fluid and fuel does the filling table give?
950 litres of SAE 80W API GL-4 hydraulic fluid, or SAE 75W API GL-4 in cold climates, and 580 litres of filtered diesel fuel, according to the filling table, as logged by the HIT SRL technical desk. The same table, shared with the CS 45 KL and CS 45 KS, gives 100 litres of SAE 90 API GL-5 oil for the differential and hubs, as recorded at HIT SRL. HIT SRL service technicians report that different tank configurations have existed, with 1,000 litres of hydraulic oil and 550 litres of fuel or 950 and 580 litres.

Fantuzzi RS 50 and RS 55: which other oils does the filling table list?
60 litres of SAE 80W API GL-4 oil for the separate brake cooling circuit where fitted, 2.5 litres of grade 10 oil for the spreader reduction unit and SAE 15W-40 API CG-4/SG engine oil, with quantity in the engine manual, as recorded at HIT SRL. The coolant leaves the factory with 40% antifreeze, according to the filling table, as logged by the HIT SRL technical desk. The same table gives it as good down to -26 degrees, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.

Fantuzzi RS 55: where is the hydraulic reservoir and how is the engine oil checked?
The hydraulic reservoir is on the chassis to the right of the driver's seat, with the level checked engine off at the top notch, according to the 2007 operator's manual, as HIT SRL's technical desk reads it. The same manual has the engine oil checked every day, 15 minutes after the engine stops, between the L and H marks, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.

Fantuzzi RS 55: what is the auxiliary emergency pump for?
For moving the arm, the stabilisers and the movable cab after a diesel engine or hydraulic fault, according to the 2007 operator's manual, as set out in the HIT SRL technical cards. Fantuzzi RS 55: what happens when the operator lets go of the joystick?
