Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 200: which diesel engine does the crane have?

HIT SRL technical desk · Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 200 technical card · October 2026

It depends on the edition, according to the manuals, as logged by the HIT SRL technical desk. The manuals give a Perkins 3012 TAG 3A of 741 kW at 1500 rpm in 2000-2002 and in the 2004 data sheets, a Caterpillar 3412 DISTA GSE of 708 kW in the 2003 edition, an MTU 16V 2000 G63 of 805 kW in the 2005 edition and a Deutz TBD 616 V16-G1 of 765 kW prime power, 851 kW rated, in the 2006 edition, as recorded at HIT SRL. HIT SRL service technicians report that each MHC 200 engine is identified from the data plate and the technical data of the specific crane.

Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 200: does the documentation list an electric main motor?

HIT SRL technical desk · Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 200 technical card · October 2026

Yes, as an option: the 2002 use and maintenance manual lists an optional electric motor of 630 kW at 1500 rpm, as HIT SRL's technical desk reads it. The maintenance tables of the later editions keep a separate hour counter for the electric engine, next to those of the diesel engine and of the other mechanisms, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.

Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 200: how does the diesel engine drive the pumps?

HIT SRL technical desk · Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 200 technical card · October 2026

Through cardan shafts and a gear-type pump driving unit, called the pumps coupler, according to the 2006 manual, as set out in the HIT SRL technical cards. The same manual has the engine drive the variable-displacement pumps of the crane movements, the fixed-displacement pumps of the services and the electrical generator, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.

Important — general guidance only – Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 200 Technical Cards

The information on this page is general technical guidance based on the field experience of HIT SRL's service technicians with port handling equipment, on the manufacturer's technical documentation consulted during service work on customers' machines or found in public sources, and on published sources on the history of Reggiane, Fantuzzi and Fantuzzi Reggiane. It is not machine-specific and does not replace the manufacturer's documentation.

Always refer to the operation and maintenance manual issued for your specific machine, model, serial number and configuration. Specifications, tolerances, tightening torques, service intervals and fluid types vary between manufacturers, between models of the same manufacturer, between production series of the same model, and with the operating environment: two visually identical components may be tightened to different torque values depending on who built the machine, and a unit working in arctic conditions requires different lubricants and service intervals from an identical unit working in tropical heat. Local regulations may impose further requirements. Where this page and your machine's manual differ, the manual prevails.

Maintenance and repair work must be carried out only by qualified personnel, with the machine isolated and secured according to the applicable safety procedures.

HIT Srl accepts no liability for damage, injury or loss arising from the use of this general information.
