Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 115: how is the crane suspended?
On oscillating rocker arms that keep all wheels on uneven ground, according to the manuals, as set out in the HIT SRL technical cards. The use and maintenance manual of the 75 t version gives a maximum arm stroke of +/-250 mm and the technical data of the 2008 manual a maximum wheel stroke of +/-150 mm, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.

Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 115: how does the hydrostatic travel work?
One pump feeds two variable-displacement motors in closed circuit through a rotary coupling, each motor connected to a differential through a gear reducer, according to the use and maintenance manual of the 75 t version, as logged by the HIT SRL technical desk. The manual gives two ranges, 0-5 km/h and 0-2 km/h, as recorded at HIT SRL. It gives a spring-applied multi-disc parking brake that holds the crane on gradients up to 8%, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.

Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 115: how is the crane steered?
Fully hydraulically on all axles, by cylinders on mechanically linked axles controlled from the cab or the portable board, according to the use and maintenance manual of the 75 t version, the HIT SRL technical desk notes. The manual adds an electro-hydraulic inverter that keeps the steering correct for the direction of the superstructure, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.

Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 115: what axle loads do the manuals give in travel?
With the block, 60,000 kg on each rear axle 3 and 4 and 56,000 kg on each front axle 1 and 2, according to the 2008 manual and the manual of the 75 t version, as recorded at HIT SRL. With block and an 8 t load the same manuals give 60,000 kg on all axles, as logged by the HIT SRL technical desk. With pylon and boom lowered and a 55 t counterweight the manuals give 60,000 kg rear, 39,500 kg front and 17,000 kg on the boom-end wheel, with 80,000 kg static per axle, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.

Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 115 BDE: which travel configurations does the 2008 manual allow?
With the hook or a load up to 3 t, equipment included, the tower vertical and the boom at 23-25 m, according to the 2008 manual, and with 5 to 13 t the boom at 15-17 m, as HIT SRL's technical desk reads it. With tower and boom lowered the manual allows the hook only, after removing one fixed counterweight, and travel with a load only on level ground, slowly, for short distances and without swinging. HIT SRL service technicians report that MHC 115 cranes in practice travel without a load, at most with the lifting equipment fitted. The travel configurations allowed on a given crane are those of its own manual.

Fantuzzi Reggiane MHC 115: how are the stabilisers built and how is the crane levelled?
With hydraulic beams and jacks under independent control, hoses inside the beams and safety valves on the jack cylinders, according to the use and maintenance manual of the 75 t version, which levels the crane within +/-0.5%, as set out in the HIT SRL technical cards. The 2008 manual has the same stabilising chapter as the 2006 MHC 200 manual, the HIT SRL technical desk notes. The stabiliser data of the manual of the specific crane apply, as recorded by the HIT SRL technical desk.
