Fantuzzi twistlock lights: what do green, amber and red mean in the manuals?
Green means twistlocks locked, red means unlocked and amber, yellow or orange means the spreader is seated or resting on the container, according to the FDC, RS 55, CS 7.5 and SMHC 35 manuals, the HIT SRL technical desk notes. According to the FDC 25 K7 manual, the green light confirms that all twistlocks are latched and that lifting can begin.

By four double-acting cylinders that turn them through 90 degrees in about 1.5 s, according to the 2006 SMHC 35 manual, as logged by the HIT SRL technical desk. The manual adds four limit switches, two for the unlocked and two for the locked position, and position sensors that deny rotation if a twistlock head is not fully inserted, as recorded at HIT SRL. The container is lifted only if all four twistlocks agree, according to the same manual.

Fantuzzi FDC and CS 7.5: what do the twistlock position sensors do?
They confirm that the twistlocks are seated in the corner castings, according to the FDC 25 K7 and CS 7.5 manuals, as recorded at HIT SRL. The yellow light then allows locking, green confirms that all twistlocks are locked and lifting can begin, and red confirms release, according to the same manuals, as logged by the HIT SRL technical desk. A fault prevents the lifting unit from rising, according to both manuals.

Arm movement stops at once except for retraction, according to the 2013 CS 45 KM manual and the FDC 500 G5 manual, as HIT SRL's technical desk reads it. On the G series a lifting bypass key in the electrical compartment then restores arm and twistlock lifting, and the fault is found and the sensors reset afterwards, according to the FDC 500 G5 manual.
